If you’re in Hong Kong (香港) or Macau (澳门) and searching for a local Meshtastic community, you’ve just landed in the right place.

Whether you’re Googling “Meshtastic Hong Kong community,” “Meshtastic Macau WeChat group,” or “Where to find Meshtastic users in HK/MO,” MeshCN is the main Chinese-speaking community that welcomes users from all regions—including Hong Kong, Macau, and overseas Chinese worldwide.

🌏 Who Are We?

MeshCN is currently the largest Chinese-speaking Meshtastic community (中文用户最多的 Meshtastic 社区), with:

• 500 members in our first WeChat group (maxed out)
• About 70 members in a second WeChat group
• 100 members in a QQ group

That’s a total of over 670 active users, sharing ideas, helping each other configure nodes, and expanding Meshtastic mesh networks across regions.

🇭🇰 Active Members from Hong Kong

We currently have around 5 active members from Hong Kong (香港), and they’ve been very helpful to the community. Some of them are from Yuen Long, Tin Shui Wai, and Hong Kong Island, covering both the New Territories and urban areas.

Some of them have:

• Set up multiple Meshtastic nodes in Hong Kong,
• Shared their experiences about building and optimizing long-range links in urban environments,
• Helped new users (both local and abroad) with setup and frequency selection.

🛠 Important Note for Hong Kong Users:
Hong Kong does not use the Mainland China 470–510 MHz ISM band (中国大陆的 470–510 MHz ISM 频段).
Instead, Hong Kong users typically configure their Meshtastic region as TW (Taiwan), since they share the same 920-925 MHz ISM band.

If you’re in Hong Kong, remember to change the region setting to TW to ensure your Meshtastic device uses the correct frequency band.

While we currently don’t have many members from Macau yet, we’re actively welcoming people from there as well.

Whether you’re a hobbyist, radio amateur, or tech enthusiast—Meshtastic has great potential for off-grid communication, hiking, and mesh experimentation in and around Macau.
